AARP Foundation has received $3 million in investments over three years from the Corporation for National and Community Service’s Social Innovation Fund to help grow AARP Experience Corps, the award winning literacy tutoring program for K-3 students. The federal grant will be used to grow and evaluate “Scaling Reading Success,” a model designed to utilize small group tutoring and/or small group plus classroom-wide assistance to help struggling students in high need communities.

AARP Foundation will use a competitive grant process to identify seven sites with high proportions of students who are struggling to read. The Foundation is soliciting interest from potential sub-grantees that have existing relationships with schools/districts where they can implement the program. Deadline: November 17, 2015.

Mark your calendars to join AARP Foundation for a webinar to learn more about eligibility, requirements, award amounts, process, and timelines:
