MENTOR Texas Names Lauren Love Richard CEO

Richard to Serve as Founding CEO, Lead Organization’s Development and Growth
April 12, 2023 – MENTOR announced today the hiring of Lauren Love Richard as the first CEO of its Texas Affiliate. Richard, who most recently served as President & CEO of Camp Fire First Texas, brings to the role nearly two decades of experience in the nonprofit sector serving children, youth, and families. Her hiring marks the launch of MENTOR Texas, an organization which will support the mentoring field across the state.
Richard began her career working in curriculum design and training. Since then, she has held positions in the education sector and has served in leadership roles for organizations including Momentous Institute, Project Transformation North Texas, and Camp Fire First Texas. Under her leadership, Camp Fire First Texas received numerous awards for its work to help youth grow and thrive. Richard has also served on the Children’s Health Beyond ABC Advisory Committee, the Dallas City of Learning Advisory Committee, and the Early Learning Alliance’s Early Education Apprenticeship Advisory Committee.
A passionate advocate for equity, inclusivity, and coalition-building for systems change, Richard will spearhead MENTOR Texas’s efforts to advance the practice of mentoring and will forge relationships with youth-serving organizations across the state.

Richard lives in the Dallas area with her family.
