MENTOR AFFILIATE
INQUIRY: NEVADA
MENTOR has partnered with the Nevada Commission on Mentoring (NCOM) to expand the quantity and quality of support that young people receive through mentorship. Through this partnership, MENTOR is conducting a landscape analysis and engaging local stakeholders to explore the establishment of an Affiliate in Nevada.

NEVADA AFFILIATE DEVELOPMENT
MENTOR executes a multi-phase process to develop and build sustainable Affiliates in regions throughout the United States. To learn more about our current Affiliates, find information here.
Through the support from the state of Nevada and NCOM, MENTOR will launch an independent landscape analysis/feasibility study and program survey in early 2021. This process will document the needs of the mentoring community, young people, and families, identify potential resources and the required funding for launch, identify a sustainable operating model for state-wide service, capture feedback from community leaders about the best way to support the mentoring movement in Nevada, and ultimately build an Affiliate in Nevada that is responsive to local needs.

STAY CONNECTED
To be part of the mentoring movement, register your program on the Mentoring Connector. The Mentoring Connector is the only national database of mentoring programs. The Mentoring Connector is a free service that helps quality youth mentoring programs across the country recruit more local volunteers while greatly increasing visibility for their organizations. Anyone interested in becoming a mentor can search for mentoring opportunities by zip code, ages of youth served, and program type to find and contact programs that interest them. Each year, potential volunteers looking for mentoring opportunities do more than 80,000 searches in this system. #MentorIRL
