The Mentoring Effect

May 2014

Erica Mendoza credits her mentor Andrea with keeping her on the path to success and now supporting her on her college journey. Erica & Andrea were matched through the John Andrew Maize Memorial Foundation, which has served over 550 teens at Framingham High School in Massachusetts and has recently launched an additional program at another local high school. The success and expansion of this program exemplifies the broad impact of mentoring on strengthening academic achievement and improving communities. “I had no knowledge of what to do in the college process, but with [my mentor], I understand everything.” – Erica Mendoza
