MENTOR 35th Anniversary Highlight: Corporate Partners
November 4, 2025
Mentoring Partnership, Corporate Engagement
As the last installment of our partnerships highlight for our 35th Anniversary campaign, MENTOR is spotlighting our corporate partners who have helped to support the organization’s mission and vision over the course of MENTOR’s history.
The role the corporate workplace plays in creating nurturing environments for professional career development growth for young people is vital. Since 2011, MENTOR has released the annual National Corporate Mentoring Honor Roll, which honors outstanding corporations across the country that support the mentoring field both inside and out of the workplace.
Research has shown that when employers support youth mentoring, 73% of employees report strong career satisfaction.
Read through a brief overview of our corporate partners over the years.
EY
MENTOR has collaborated with EY on multiple mentoring initiatives, including the organization’s College MAP (Mentoring for Access and Persistence) group-mentoring program, which is aimed at supporting underserved students. Students are matched with EY volunteers that help them through the process of applying to, and being able to afford college. MENTOR also joined EY to host a Mentoring 101 training for mentors at EY.
EY has also partnered with MENTOR on panels at the National Conference on Volunteering and Service (NCVS) and has been a proud sponsor of MENTOR’s annual National Mentoring Summit. Members of EY have also served on our Board of Directors, as well as MENTOR Affiliate boards.
Fidelity
Fidelity Investments and MENTOR continue to partner on the implementation and enhancement of the mentoring component of the Fidelity Scholars Program, an initiative of ‘Invest in Me’ which was launched in 2023. Invest in MyEducation (ME)℠ is an initiative that provides access to education and ongoing support to students from underrepresented populations and historically underserved communities who have faced systemic barriers and challenges to economic mobility. Fidelity Investments launched Invest in MyEducation (ME)℠ in partnership with the United Negro College Fund. MENTOR has provided virtual trainings that offer a comprehensive understanding of mentoring and building healthy relationships to College Success Coaches (CSCs).
In 2024, MENTOR developed the MENTOR Fidelity Program Toolkit, in partnership with the social impact team at Fidelity Investments using the Elements of Effective Practice for Mentoring™ research. This toolkit is a core resource for the Fidelity Scholars Program and serves to guide improvements and provide best practices and tools for Fidelity Investments to broaden the successes of the program. This toolkit was the result of Fidelity Investments wanting to propel associates to serve as mentors to college-aged youth, Fidelity Scholars, with evidence-based tools in the mentoring field, especially for mentoring in the workplace. The toolkit focused on helping these Fidelity Scholars gain a post-secondary degree and land their first job.
JPMorgan Chase & Co
In service of its commitment to workforce development and enriching young people’s out-of-school learning, JPMorgan Chase partnered with MENTOR to design and implement a project-based career readiness program. Over the course of six weeks, young people had the opportunity to work with JPMorgan Chase & Co. employees to develop innovative solutions for community challenges, helping both communities and young people.
MENTOR also supported The Fellowship Initiative (TFI), in partnership with JPMorgan Chase & Co, which was aimed at mentoring young men of color toward college readiness, and career success. The Fellowship Initiative sought to provide support for cohorts of young men of color in three cities from their sophomore year in high school through their senior year. TFI is an intensive 3-year program that brings Fellows together three Saturdays a month for leadership development, academic enrichment, team building, and mentoring opportunities. This speaks to the fact that a mentoring relationship’s success is oftentimes determined by the strength and longevity of the mentor-mentee match.
Bank of America
The Bank of America Charitable Foundation’s longstanding support of MENTOR has allowed MENTOR to prioritize quality mentoring and to enhance workplace mentoring and development. With the Foundation’s support, MENTOR championed 5,500+ youth development programs, schools, and employer partners serving more than 882,000 youth across the U.S.
MENTOR also partnered with Bank of America for the Summer Leaders Program. The project provided BOA student leaders (juniors & seniors) with an intensive virtual internship experience during the summer through training and coaching focused on practicing and strengthening their mentoring: verbal communication, quantitative reasoning, critical thinking, and effective teamwork, to enable their college and career leadership development, academically, emotionally, & socially.
Bank of America has been a longstanding support for the annual National Mentoring Summit. Most recently, at the 2025 National Mentoring Summit, Bank of America was part of the “Building a Workforce through Mentoring” mainstage keynote session.
Deloitte
Deloitte first began investing in MENTOR in 2015 through a corporate consulting contract from the Deloitte Foundation’s RightStep Education Fund. The RightStep Education Initiative aimed at helping low-income students prepare and persist through high school and college, and then transition to a career. Over the years, under their RightStep Education Initiative, MENTOR supported Deloitte’s corporate mentoring efforts, including the rollout of a virtual mentoring initiative to scale employee engagement through their collaboration with UStrive.
In 2018, Deloitte also provided funding for the e-Mentoring supplement of MENTOR’s Elements of Effective Practice for Mentoring™ research.
Deloitte was also a sponsor of MENTOR’s 25th Anniversary celebration, and continued to support the National Mentoring Summit from 2016 through 2023.
Marshalls
MENTOR’s continued partnership with Marshalls is helping to empower and activate mentors on a national scale to ensure that more women and girls have the resources, tools, and social capital to thrive and pursue their dreams and goals. With Marshalls’ support, MENTOR developed a unique training curriculum, The Essentials: Training for Mentors of Black and Brown Girls. Through the partnership, MENTOR and its Affiliates also launched an annual series of Girls Thrive Power Summits in communities throughout the U.S.
We also worked with Marshalls on the Good Stuff Social Club initiative aimed at bringing the Marshalls community together through an inclusive social club providing space where women always have access to a good deal, resources to grow, and network-building opportunities.
The inaugural social club experience provided access to networking and learnings. Over the course of two days in New York City, women gained access to experts (including MENTOR Affiliate MENTOR New York), tools, and resources to help them increase their net worth and self-worth.
MENTOR New York’s CEO, Brenda Jimenez, also had a chance to speak with venture capitalist Jewel Burks Solomon in Atlanta during Marshalls Speed Dating Edition of the Marshalls Good Stuff Social Club in June 2024, to share her experiences with mentorship and how to build lasting mentoring relationships. MENTOR New York also created tips for networking to help guidance as conversation starters.
Corporate partnerships continue to play an important role in MENTOR’s work and we welcome corporate partners to engage with our trainings, research, and offerings.
