The Mentoring Effect

Started in 2009 as “Be a 6th Grade Mentor,” this program in the Pittsburgh Public School District expanded from matching 225 sixth graders with mentors to 450 middle school students with mentors in 2013 – thereby expanding the mentoring effect across middle school grade levels and improving overall outcomes.
